Supporting Our Community & Fighting Childhood Hunger

Even the simplest good deed can help change the world. At The World Friendship Flag Project, we aim to make the world a better place by raising money for community and globally based charities. With your help, we can stomp out hunger, improve our neighborhood, and promote our message of friendship and peace.

Our Causes

We want to affect positive change in both our own community and the world at large. With this in mind, we strive to raise funds for both the local Paradise Garden Foundation and CARE, a larger humanitarian charity.

CARE

The majority of our funds go to the fight against childhood hunger throughout the world. CARE is a humanitarian aid organization that provides food for starving and impoverished children. In order to help end world hunger, we encourage individuals and corporations alike to donate to our cause.

Paradise Garden Foundation

Our flag — the icon that represents everything we stand for — was designed by folk artist Howard Finster. A renowned artist, he created album covers for REM and the Talking Heads, the latter of which was deemed 1989's cover of the year by Rolling Stone. He even went on to appear on The Johnny Carson Show.

One of Finster's greatest works was "Paradise Garden", an outdoor out-goer art environment made entirely from items people had thrown away. Initially built as a roadside park, the Gardens are now known as the friendship capital of the world. In honor of his contribution to our project, we donate a small portion of our funds to the restoration of this project.

Donating to Our Cause

By donating to our organization, you take an active role in feeding hungry children around the world. Donations are accepted both online and in the form of check or money order to our mailing address. No gift is too small; absolutely any contribution is greatly appreciated. Joining the Movement

Our mission is of the utmost importance to us, and we are eternally grateful for each and every contribution that comes our way. With this in mind, we keep a database of every donor in homage to our friendship flag. As always, proceeds will go directly to CARE and the Paradise Gardens.
