At The World Friendship Flag Project, we believe that working toward a common goal fosters lasting friendships. Established in 1995, our organization was founded on the belief that with hard work and cooperation, we can change the world for the better.
Our Story
Started by the Rotary Interact Club at Chattooga High School, our foundation was highlighted during the 1996 Summer Olympics. In partnership with Interact Clubs worldwide, the students eagerly collected funds and raised awareness for the humanitarian charity CARE in order to help feed hungry children.
Our Flag
Using Howard Finsters' figures and creations, a gifted local artist with exhibits in the Smithsonian, our flag is a representation of friendship, love, and peace. With this incredible icon, we hope to spread our message of hope and give solace to the powerless.
Continuing the Legacy
Years ago, we used our network of Interact Clubs to raise money for those who needed it most. Today, we want to use our online presence for the same purpose. Our goal is to bring people across the globe together under the banner of The World Friendship Flag.
After donating to our mission, supporters are welcomed into our movement and can showcase our flag or the Globee Dude -- our beloved mascot -- on their social media profiles. With a little help from supporters like you, changing the world is possible.
